The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) is a non-profit professional organization providing education on gastrointestinal minimally invasive surgery. The mission of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons is to innovate, educate and collaborate to improve patient care. SAGES Members are primarily board-certified surgeons with either an interest in or practice focused on endoscopic and/or laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Manjunath Haridas is an active member of the SAGES organization with a keen interest in education, research and innovation in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries. SAGES focuses on providing education as to best practices in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery by researching, developing, and disseminating the guidelines in surgical procedures. Dr Manjunath as part of his patient care has incorporated these guidelines for better patient care and outcomes. These Guidelines are reviewed periodically so as to allow pertinent new developments in medical research to reach patient clinical management sooner than later.
