Early Symptoms Of Gastric Cancer That Are Often Overlooked
Early symptoms of gastric cancer are generally so unremarkable that they often go unnoticed. Gastric cancer is one of those tricky diagnoses where most patients may have contemplatively felt symptoms but they are often vague symptoms that can easily be confused with many other mild gastrointestinal disorders.
Some of the early symptoms of gastric cancer are:
- Bloating
- Nausea
- Heartburn
- A constant feeling of discomfort
These symptoms are usually dismissed as normal gastrointestinal issues, and that is the case for most people. When gastric cancer is finally diagnosed, it is usually in the advanced stages.
Signs Of Gastric Cancer
1. You start losing weight unexpectedly and your appetite decreases. People no longer feel hungry which cause them to lose weight without even trying.
2. You are severely fatigued. This may happen because of slow blood loss, which, combined with weight loss, can be a sign of gastric cancer. Significant blood loss can also result in anaemia.
3. You have blood in your vomit or stool. This is an uncommon occurrence but it can happen if you are losing a lot of blood.
4. Your bowel habits have changed drastically. You may experience recurrent bouts of constipation or diarrhoea that are not ordinary.
5. Gastrointestinal symptoms that you are unable to get rid of. For instance, you have had abdominal discomfort or nausea that lasts for more than a few days.
6. You feel full even if you have only eaten a small portion of food. Many a time, these symptoms are caused due to something else, but the best idea is to get them checked out so that even if you need a Gastritis Treatment, you can get it without wasting any time.

How To Prevent Gastric Cancer?
Due to our busy schedules, we tend to consume a lot of processed and unhealthy food that cause these mild symptoms we experience. The best alternative is to switch to a cleaner, mostly plant-based diet. Avoiding unhealthy, toxic foods will not only decrease the risk for cancer development but also the digestive symptoms from consuming them.
EndNote
Even if your gastrointestinal system seems to be acting weird, there is no need to panic right away. Usually, gastrointestinal symptoms are not due to gastric cancer but because of mild causes. Get started with the treatment if you have ulcers from an H. pylori infection Antibiotics are used to kill the bacteria and other drugs will cure the sores in the lining of your stomach to reduce your risk of cancer.
